Selenite Mountain Top Candle Holder - 8 cm

A hand-finished selenite candle holder carved into a mountain-top form, designed to let candlelight flicker softly through the crystal's translucent walls - equal parts working tool and altar centrepiece.

Selenite is long held to be one of the most cleansing stones in the craft: traditionally called upon to clear stagnant energy, charge neighbouring crystals, and invite clarity and honesty into a space. The raw, unworked edges of each holder are entirely natural to the stone - no two pieces are identical - while the top is polished flat to seat a tealight securely and the base is cut level so it stands without wobble. As the flame burns, the selenite walls glow with a soft, diffuse light, making it as fitting on a mantelpiece as on a working altar.

A note on care: selenite is water-soluble. Cleanse by moonlight or smoke only - never immerse in water or wipe with a damp cloth.
