Selenite Snowball Candle Holder - 8 cm

A carved selenite snowball, 8 cm tall, shaped to hold a single tealight or pillar candle and let its flame glow softly through the crystal walls.

Selenite is a naturally translucent stone - the candlelight passes through the pale, semi-opaque walls and shifts with every flicker, casting a quiet, diffused light across your altar or shelf. The outer surface is left rough in the manner of the stone's natural cleavage, while the top is polished smooth and the base is cut flat for stability. No two pieces are identical: the stone's characteristic sheen moves between glassy and chalky white, so each holder carries its own markings.

In the folk tradition of crystal work, selenite is held to carry a steady, clarifying energy - associated with honesty, inner stillness and the drawing back of obscuring thought. It is also counted among the few stones said to cleanse and charge the crystals placed near it, so a selenite holder does quiet work even between rituals. To cleanse selenite itself, leave it in moonlight or pass it through smoke; selenite is water-soluble and should never be submerged or rinsed.
